Components (or COMPs) are unique compared to other operator families in that they contain their own networks. This allows you to build “custom operators”, that behave like nodes, but contain a network that you have built. This is very useful to keep the overview in bigger networks and to exchange your work with other users. To make a new network in your project, create a new Component using the OP Create Menu and selecting from the COMP tab. Then go inside your new component and start building your network. Component networks can contain operators and additional components. Use these sub-networks to create a hierarchy of networks. Use the network path to navigate between them. Components can be shared externally as .tox files. You can find many components in the Palette Browser as well as on the forums and the derivative assets section.
