Organized by The NODE Institute, the TouchDesigner Roundtable Berlin is the meeting point for creatives and developers who work with the visual development platform TouchDesigner as well as everybody who is curious about the world of interactive media art and the people behind it.

For the 27th edition of the Roundtable, we return to our very own NODE Institute. Consequently, the number of available tickets is limited, and it is advisable to secure a spot promptly. This event promises a diverse range of presentations, covering topics from the intricate aspects of disinformation AI to discussions on intellectual property and revenue, as well as a Python-driven UI toolkit that guarantees exceptional scalability.

Yi Weihua is an art consultant with over 10 years of experience managing public art commissions. Her work covers all areas of art management from curatorial strategy to operational standards and project implementation. Major projects have been delivered internationally in collaboration with public institutions and private clients. In her talk Yi will explain how she works with artists, design professionals, clients, and different stakeholders, to secure the rights and interests of each party within a project.

Sebastian Zimmerhackl is a creative technologist that leverages the interconnected nature of the internet as his canvas. He stays keenly aware of global styles and technologies. Operating as a 360° creative director, disruptive memetician and networker, he brings these dynamic relationships to life in major projects spanning technology, fashion, art, and communication design. Sebastian is a digital force that never fades or disconnects, consistently lighting up the internet’s corners with imaginative and radical ideas. He is going to shed some light onto his newest ventures, a series of multiple talk/listening sessions at UNTITLED.PROJECT in Kreuzberg and his experimental art-talk format called <SOIREE XD> which takes place at JOURNEE HQ, once a month since early 2023.

Wieland Hilker, a video technician, and TouchDesigner developer based in Berlin, has a background in the theater and event industry. He is renowned for his creation, the OLIB platform, and the numerous tools he generously offers to the community for free. In this presentation, Wieland will introduce RenderInteractionFramework (RIF), a compact Python toolset facilitating sophisticated user interactions in 3D space, without the need for panel COMPs. User interfaces constructed with RIF exhibit independence from resolution, scale, and camera specifics, ensuring unrestricted scalability and seamless performance.
