Winter
SEASON
2026/27
Welcome to another season of quality education in visual programming and experience design!
We offer a curated selection of learning experiences for beginners and intermediate users of TouchDesigner and vvvv.
This winter runs across four classes and the vvvv Intermediates Bundle, set out below, alongside what we are still building for the rest of the season.
Every live session is recorded and stays available. Courses are taught in English unless marked otherwise, and every class comes with Discord access to instructors and peers. We complement this with real human encounters, too — community events, networking and friendship, because we believe in cooperation, not competition.
Classes of Winter 26/27
A fixed group, a fixed weekly slot, and an instructor who knows your project by week three. The TouchDesigner Beginner Class runs from October as a blended course — a video lesson every Wednesday, a live consultation every Tuesday — and hands over to the TouchDesigner Intermediate Class in February. On the vvvv side, Beginner Class I and II take you from first patch to VL development at the same steady weekly pace.

Each session is taught live by a different working artist rather than one instructor across twelve weeks — a lineup, not a syllabus, spanning intermediate to advanced vvvv work. Come with the fundamentals in hand, book the full run for the discount, or pick out the sessions that match what you are building.

In planning for this season

These are real, they are being built, and they are not finished. We would rather show you the season we are actually working on than pretend it is already boxed up — so there are no dates or prices here until they are true. Put your name on the list and you hear first.

TouchDesigner AI Bundle
Working with generative models inside and agents outside of TouchDesigner, built out the way our professional modules are: Foundations to get the pipeline running, Advanced to push it, and Case Study sessions where it goes into a real piece. Curriculum and instructors are being put together now, and we are aiming to run it this winter season.

TouchDesigner System Architecture Bundle
Building TouchDesigner projects that hold up once they leave your machine: file and component structure, reusable tooling, performance under load, multi-machine setups, and what it takes to hand a system to someone else and have it still run. Same shape as the other bundles — Foundations, Advanced and Case Study sessions. Curriculum and instructors are being put together now, aiming for this winter season.

Creative Masterclasses
Weeks of online studio work building toward one real showcase on location — past editions have ended up in a decommissioned power station in Leipzig, a 270° panorama club, a 19-metre geodesic dome and a festival in Bengaluru. Topics and instructors for this winter are being put together now. Look through the previous editions to see what these turn into.

Community meetups and events

We complement the online learning with real human encounters, which we think matter more than ever. We believe in cooperation, not competition.
Through the season we run social and networking events in Berlin and on stream — people show what they are building and take questions. Free to attend, usually recorded, and the reason a good half of our students found us in the first place.
Almost every event is live-streamed and stays up afterwards as a recording on our YouTube channel, including The NODE Institute Talks — the backlog of Roundtable and NODE Session talks.
