DISCOVERY ZONE : Library Copy – Do Not Remove
November, 23rd 2024 | 5pm – 7pm (Tickets available)
November, 23rd 2024 | 7pm – 9pm (SOLD OUT)

Our friends at Spatial Media Lab e.V. invite all lovers of spatial audio – and those curious to become one – to a unique listening session at its headquarters in Berlin-Weißensee. Attendees will experience “Library Copy – Do Not Remove” by Discovery Zone,
a 3D audio work that few people have encountered so far.

The session will present the 7th order Ambisonic Masterfile, post-produced specifically for this event after its original concert. It will be played on an 8.1.5 dome of Genelec speakers, offering a fully immersive experience. This setup is not often heard, making it a rare opportunity to be seized by purchasing a ticket.

Due to the first time slot selling out so fast, as second listening session has been
published and there are still tickets available for that one:

“Library Copy – Do Not Remove” was initially conceived as a live spatial audio piece and was performed on June 27, 2023, as part of the “Live Radiant” series at the Zeiss-Großplanetarium in Berlin. Learn more about the project here.

Both, Discovery Zone, an artist who explores themes such as simulation theory, mythology, and the holographic universe, as well as Andrew Rahman, who arranged and mixed the piece in 3D will be present at this exclusive session to discuss the creative process and answer audience questions.

To recreate the atmosphere of the planetarium premiere, Cinema.AV has been invited to accompany Discovery Zone’s sounds with live video projections. He will perform a real-time set using his intricate video synthesizer setup.
