The Spatial Media Lab is hosting their sixth meetup!
Big news this time around, they will be hosting their meetups
on the last Tuesday of each month, so keep an eye out for their newsletter.

The goal for this meetup is to bring people in the field of spatial media together to connect and discuss, hoping to grow the quality of the work and expand the tools that are created.
As this meetup is non-hierarchical, SML will simply host the space and discuss what participants are working on and then let the the night flow. If you have something you’d like to present, please reach out to SML in advance!

The theme of this meetup is From Zero to Spatial.

The Casual TouchDesigner Meetup

As we celebrate our 25th iteration, the TouchDesigner Roundtable Berlin sails along the Spree River, heading to the southeast of the city. Here, we will explore an area steeped in industrial history, which now houses several fascinating projects, including the Spreehalle. This venue serves as Berlin's latest hub for the production and performance of transmedial and transcultural music and performing arts.

Inspired by the flowing waves of the nearby river, this edition will be dedicated to the musical aspects of TouchDesigner. We will investigate the most recent integration that solidifies our community's leading position in the realm of crafting audio-visual experiences.

For the 27th edition of the Roundtable, we return to our very own NODE Institute. Consequently, the number of available tickets is limited, and it is advisable to secure a spot promptly. This event promises a diverse range of presentations, covering topics from the intricate aspects of disinformation AI to discussions on intellectual property and revenue, as well as a Python-driven UI toolkit that guarantees exceptional scalability.

For the 28th edition of the Roundtable, we are honored to visit an award-winning creative agency specializing in brand communication: Elastique, which has recently expanded to Berlin and graciously extended its hospitality by hosting us in their new hub situated in the heart of Kreuzberg. Once again, this necessitates the limitation of available tickets, underscoring the importance of securing a spot promptly.

Three enlightening talks are on the agenda, promising to illuminate the professional applications of TouchDesigner across various industries. Topics will range from Elastique's sophisticated and interactive installations to the groundbreaking media servers and dome wizardry of Screenberry, culminating in the inspiring artistic experiments of Rahul Sharma.
We anticipate yet another evening brimming with novel ideas and seamless socializing, all within the company of the friendliest community in town.

TouchDesigner Roundtable XXIX

For the 29th edition of the Roundtable, we join Manifest.IO, the Symposium for New Media and Electronic Art, a two-day event organized by TimeLab, featuring a series of talks, performances, and an exhibition that highlights new media projects and installations by upcoming artists and media researchers.

This allows us not only to show three diverse presentation, but also two live audio-visual performances.

Guess what... It's been five years since we hosted the very first TouchDesigner Roundtable Berlin under this name! While we fondly remember the beginnings with TouchBAR, hosted by AlphamoonbaseBerlin in 2018, we want to take this opportunity to celebrate five years, 91 speakers, and 12 locations with a little party. To mark this historic date, we deserve some good weather. So, we're heading to a spot where we can enjoy sunshine, music, and great company.
