About Chataigne
Chataigne is a free, open-source software made with one goal in mind : create a common tool for artists, technicians and developers who wish to use technology and synchronize software for shows, interactive installations or prototyping. It aims to be as simple as possible for basic interactions, but can be easily extended to create complex interactions.

About this course
Unlock the full potential of Chataigne as a state machine, timeline and conductor in this online course, where you’ll learn to orchestrate diverse elements and software into a seamless show.
Understand how to integrate different data sources, whether it’s sensors, lighting desks, midi instruments or other software to control various aspects of a production—such as a soundtrack built in Ableton, logic designed in VVVV, video playback managed by Resolume, sensor data ingested with TouchDesigner, and real-time 3D content rendered in Notch with ease.
The first part of the course will give you an understanding of the use cases of Chataigne, how it works and how to integrate diverse inputs and unify them into simple outputs that can be used to control installations and performances. In the second part we will look at a practical yet simple example to understand how to use Chataigne alongside TouchDesigner and vvvv that will get you started to simplify your own workflows with Chataigne.
This course equips you to unify complex components into a single control environment, allowing you to quickly and efficiently create responsive, immersive experiences, just like a conductor leading a symphony.
