3 sessions, always on Friday
Join creative technologist Luna Nane—who has collaborated with pioneering studios like Refik Anadol, ART+COM, and Meso—for a three session course on mastering ComfyUI, the cutting-edge visual programming tool transforming the generative AI landscape. In this course, Luna Nane will guide you through the powerful features of ComfyUI, which has quickly become the preferred platform for integrating state-of-the-art AI and machine learning techniques, particularly in the realms of Stable Diffusion-based image and video generation. You’ll also explore its compatibility with other advanced models such as Flux, Kolors, and even LLM implementations.
Designed for professionals in media arts, interactive design, and content creation, this workshop will help you navigate the rich community contributions around ComfyUI and harness its capabilities to elevate your creative workflow. Luna Nane will share insights drawn from years of experience at the intersection of technology and art, showing you how to prepare your PC for AI-driven tasks, generate captivating visuals, and integrate these innovations into your existing studio pipelines.
By the end of this course, you will not only be skilled in operating within the ComfyUI ecosystem but also poised to push the boundaries of generative art. Whether you aim to innovate in your artistic practice or leverage AI to create value-driven applications, this workshop offers the expertise and inspiration to lead in this rapidly evolving field.
About ComfyUI
ComfyUI is a node-based GUI for Stable Diffusion. You can construct an image generation workflow by chaining different blocks (called nodes) together. Some commonly used blocks are Loading a Checkpoint Model, entering a prompt, specifying a sampler, etc. ComfyUI breaks down a workflow into rearrangeable elements so you can easily make your own.

About the Instructor
Through her work as a creative developer and artist in the fields of new media and interactive art, Luna Nane explores themes of vibrancy and immersion while conveying meaningful narratives. She uses deep data visualization and highly detailed depictions of systems and processes to communicate complex ideas. Luna’s work combines visual impact with an atomic-level analysis of topics such as human knowledge and archives, climate systems, AI, social media bot operations, and the interplay of identity and power structures. As a freelancer, she has collaborated with renowned artists and agencies, including Refik Anadol Studios, Art+Com, Ars Electronica, m box, Meso Digital Interior, and many others. In 2016, she graduated with a Master’s degree in Interface Cultures from the University of Linz and now divides her time between Berlin and Taipei. With a background in the sciences, Luna’s approach is tool-independent and method-focused. However, tools such as VVVV, Unity, Unreal Engine, ComfyUI, and VVVV.js—alongside her contributions to open-source projects—have been essential to her practice.
