The Return of TouchDesigner Roundtable Berlin / 9 Apr 2026

After a considerable break, we return with nothing less than TouchDesigner Roundtable Berlin XXXIV.

We opened the doors to our studio and invited you to an evening of artist talks, project insights, and good company. A relaxed gathering of the local and international TouchDesigner community.

Antonia  translates architectural discipline into the fluid language of digital art.

Wieland and Markus played
an important role in making the Roundtable possible and fun.

Antonia Angel translates architectural discipline into the fluid language of digital art. Moving from structural design to Berlin’s club scene, she uses TouchDesigner to craft atmospheres that feel both precise and visceral. Her work often centers on haptics, using physical sensors to restore a sense of touch to digital environments. At Studio1111, she manages massive-scale visuals with a focus on human experience, using deep reds and measured motion to avoid sensory fatigue. By merging analog textures with complex technical workflows, she bridges the gap between the built environment and the screen, aiming for a future where media and architecture are designed as one.

Marcus Heckmann presents TouchDesigner updates across tools, DMX workflow, and rendering. Tool refinements include S-Curve per-channel control, Phaser CHOP/POP extend modes, improved 14-bit MIDI integration (UI + callbacks), Switch/Count loop and zigzag behaviors, and Layout TOP enhancements with fixed grids and row/column reversal. DMX workflow introduces a GDTF importer that auto-generates fixtures, channels, and geometry, alongside attribute-based control for per-pixel and grouped lighting setups. Rendering updates feature the Render Simple TOP for quick setups and UI improvements like collapsible parameter blocks and drag-to-create operators. Ray tracing and Vulkan rendering are under exploration but not imminent.
