GeoPix by Enviral Design

GeoPix is a free and open source real-time lighting control and previz software designer by Lucas Morgan / Enviral Design. It’s built in TouchDesigner, with a workflow and UI/UX inspired by 3d animation software.

The primary goal of GeoPix is to unify the process of working with different types of lights, such as led strips, dmx lights, and video surfaces – while streamlining the process of mapping real-time video and generative content onto complex arrays of pixels and lights.

Lastly, GeoPix also aims to bridge the gap between lighting control, and lighting pre-visualization – two tasks that generally require multiple, potentially expensive software & hardware elements.

To dive into GeoPix would over-stretch the scope of this course, that is why we have invited Lucas himself, to create a course module focussed on GeoPix – you can find it here:

Please note, that initially this course was scheduled to happen before the one treating GeoPix, which of course makes more sense, but we had to change the order due to instructor availabilty.
If you watch the recordings, you should watch this course first and then proceed to the one above!
