TouchDesigner Roundtable XXXI

Organized by The NODE Institute, the TouchDesigner Roundtable Berlin is the meeting point for creatives and developers who work with the visual development platform TouchDesigner as well as everybody who is curious about the world of interactive media art and the people behind it.

The 31st edition of the Roundtable will return to Neukölln, where the globally renowned Creative, Design + Innovation Studio FIELD.IO will host us at their Berlin studio. They will also deliver a talk, detailing the studio’s systematic approach to design. Additional speakers include Christian Riekoff, the primary developer of FUSE – an innovative open-source tool for vvvv gamma, and Lyell Hintz who will discuss his practice integrating AI and TouchDesigner.

Christian Riekoff, a media artist from Schwerin with degrees in Experimental Media Design and Media Programming, specializes in interactive installations and generative systems. Serving as the primary developer of FUSE, an open-source tool for vvvv gamma, he facilitates real-time visual programming for artists and developers. In his presentation, Christian will showcase how FUSE enhances his development workflow, enabling swift adaptation and execution in visual projects.

It’s widely acknowledged that generative AI is fundamentally altering how we create and engage with audio-visual content. The question of how our creative processes will evolve in the coming years likely weighs heavily on the minds of many in our community. Lyell, also known as DotSimulate, hails from Brooklyn and serves as both a Media Designer and digital Tool Builder. He has provided the TouchDesigner community with a series of exceptional tools aimed at facilitating the exploration and integration of Stable Diffusion and Comfy UI into our beloved TouchDesigner workflow. This contribution not only enhances our current practices but also paves the way for the future of visual programming.
