A long weekend of patching, playing, cooking, chilling, and creating together.

Hidden in the lakeside village of Heidesee about one hour south of Berlin sits a place with history and charm: the former Institute for Radio Technology, known locally simply as the Funkinstitut. Perched on the only hill around and crowned by its iconic tower, it’s now being revived by the Berlin collective FairWurzeln e.V. as an open, eco‑friendly hub for community, creativity, and shared experiments.

For one long weekend in June, this unique site becomes home to LINK – the VVVV Summer Camp: a gathering for everyone who loves vvvv, creative coding, visual experimentation, or simply spending time with curious, generous people.

Sign up now before it is too late!
Registration closes on May 17th, 2026.

What to Expect

LINK is open to evvvveryone — from absolute beginners to long‑time vvvv pros. Bring your ideas, your unfinished projects, your research questions, your design concepts, your community initiatives, or simply your curiosity. Anything goes.

Across four days we’ll patch, prototype, discuss, explore, and help each other grow. You can join working groups, switch between them, or do your own thing entirely. The camp is your playground.

Schedule

Thursday – Arrival from 14:00, dinner around 19:00, and a relaxed kickoff. Friday – Breakfast, group formation, project time. Saturday – Work, chill, repeat — and in the evening: parteey time. Bring visuals, USB sticks, disco pants, schnelle Brillen. Sunday – Brunch, room checkout at 14:00, wrap‑up session, and a soft landing until ~18:00.

Jule & Seb (Quadrature) -> Our link to the Funkinstitut

Sleeping

There are shared rooms available with 4 or more beds. Expect communal sleeping areas.

Also you are free to bring your tent or camper van if that´s what you prefer. We have the perfect sleeping spot for everyone.

Also don´t worry about your daily beauty shower, there are bathrooms on site.

Food & Cooking

All food is provided and included. The Funkinstitut team prepares the recipes — we just lend a few helping hands. Expect hearty, communal cooking sessions and the kind of potato‑based dreams only LINK can provide.

We provide an infinite amount of water. Other drinks can be bought from a small shop.

If you have dietary needs, simply mention them in your application. We’ll find solutions.

Registration

You decide what you pay. The recommended contribution is 200€, which barely covers space, hosting, accommodation, power, water, and — most importantly — all food.

If you’re able to contribute a bit more, it would really help us keep the camp accessible for everyone. And if the cost is a challenge, simply tell us in your application. We’ll find a solution together.

Location

What the funk? You’ll be living and working inside and outside the old Funkinstitut: former labs, a cafeteria, a bar, wide outdoor spaces, and plenty of corners to focus or relax. The atmosphere is calm, green, and wonderfully weird — perfect for creative flow.

Getting There

We travel together from Berlin on Thursday morning by train & bus. Pick‑ups from Friedersdorf, Bestensee, or Kolberg are arranged. Car‑sharing will be coordinated closer to the date.

Bring Along

Laptop + mouse USB sticks Ethernet adapter + cable Beamer (if you have one) Tent/sleeping gear (if needed) Flashlight Swimwear Warm clothes for evenings Sunscreen, mosquito spray Anything else you can’t live without — the nearest shop is a 2h walk.

And most importantly: Forget your stress. This is a chill‑only zone.
