Mastering Lasers with LA.laserchop

November 11, 2025, Tuesday, 5-8 PM, Berlin Time
1 lesson at 3 hours in English Language live via Zoom, or as recording
Recordings are available and accessible for at least one year after purchase.

In this three-hour workshop, Moritz Hilscher of LaserAnimation Sollinger GmbH introduces participants to lasers as a creative medium. As highly precise and powerful light sources, lasers open up unique possibilities for projection mapping, immersive installations, and live performance. Moritz draws on his expertise at LaserAnimation Sollinger — a company whose systems are used in world-renowned artistic productions — to provide both technical grounding and creative inspiration.

The session begins with essential safety requirements and the conditions that must be met to work responsibly with lasers. From there, participants learn how to connect lasers to TouchDesigner and explore practical workflows for real-time control and content creation. A central focus is placed on LA.laserchop, the professional toolkit that expands TouchDesigner into a full-scale laser programming platform.

Participants discover how LA.laserchop enables intelligent color management, advanced projection mapping, precise scanning control, and optimized shape generation. Moritz demonstrates how these features can be applied to creative projects, from audio-reactive visualizations to complex architectural projections. All participants receive access to powerful TouchDesigner components, example networks, and support materials, allowing them to continue experimenting and integrating lasers into their own work after the workshop.
