This was the openDome Meetup II

openDome Meetup II brought together a vibrant community of fulldome creators, developers, and researchers for an afternoon dedicated to testing new workflows and exploring emerging tools in immersive media in Berlin, November 26, 2025.

Hosted at B-Dome—a venue equipped with a 4K fulldome projection system driven by a Screenberry Media Server—the event successfully demonstrated a new integration between Screenberry and the visual programming environment vvvv. Through a collaboration between Front Pictures and the vvvv group, we confirmed that Screenberry’s projector calibration data can now be exported and used directly in vvvv.
This innovation reduces latency and allows artists to run real-time dome content without additional mapping processes, opening new possibilities for live performance, interactive installations, and creative research.

Attendees also viewed a selection of fulldome artworks at different stages of development, including several TouchDesigner-based projects. A highlight was Linda’s game-inspired VJ set, performed live using a PlayStation controller and streamed directly into the dome as a 4K domemaster.

These results underscore the value of the openDome initiative as a testing ground for new workflows and a meeting point for partners committed to advancing immersive media technologies. We thank B-Dome for their continued support and all partners and participants for contributing to the success of this event.
