NOCODE 2 – New Media Art with VVVV
7 Sep 2025 , 14:00 – 17:00 CEST

How to make New Media Art the serious way?
New Media Week calls Berlin a global epicenter for digital art and while we agree, we’d like to add that Berlin is also a hot spot for education in visual programming for experience designers from around the world. So when we were asked, what we would like to contribute to this city wide celebration of digital creativity, the answer cam easy to us:
A bit more than six years ago, we started to host vvvv and TouchDesigner workshops and meetups at The NODE Institute in Neukölln and while we strongly believe in the benefits of online education, we often think back to those early days, when a dozen people came together to spend the day in the world of visual programming. Many careers and friendships have started here.

To celebrate New Media Week, we look forward to gather once again a dozend curious minds in our studio and take them on a trip into the powerful patching world of VVVV.
Join media artist and educator Alessandro Maggioni if you want to learn more about the fast and fresh combination of VL and vvvv gamma, that powers some of the most anticipated new media experiences of today.
14:00 UHR / 2:00 PM / noCODE 2 – NEW MEDIA ART with VVVV

Join the workshop for a first glimpse into vvvv Gamma node-based programming language. During the 3-hour session, we will discover its basic concepts and understand how these can be scaled into more complex projects.
We will explore 2D and 3D environments, and build a simple networked application where each participant’s contribution becomes part of a larger collective installation. We will also have a peek into some of the exciting features of the upcoming vvvv Gamma 7 release.
No previous experience needed.
If you want to join the practical exploration, please bring your laptop with the latest build of vvvv gamma installed.
The participation is free thanks to the generous support of the vvvv group and Refik Anadol Studio, but we kindly ask to reserve a spot using the link below.
