DESCRIPTION:Organized by The NODE Institute\, the TouchDesigner Roundtable Berlin is the meeting point for creatives and developers who work with the visual development platform TouchDesigner as well as everybody who is curious about the world of interactive media art and the people behind it. \n\n\n\nThe forthcoming edition promises to be exceptional in more ways than one\, for it will be integrated into the TOUCHDESIGNER EVENT BERLIN 2023\, a two-day community gathering hosted by Derivative in Europe. This marks Derivative’s first such event on the continent since Berlin 2018\, and it has been eagerly anticipated.  \n\n\n\nThe highlight of this event will be three full dome shows\, presented by some of the brightest minds in our community\, inside the dome of the Zeiss Planetarium. While admission to the TD EVENT will require a ticket\, the Roundtable will remain open to all\, free of charge. He explores the interrelations between sound and image in both performance-based and installation-based works. His fully generative\, algorithmically created imagery oscillates between fluid\, organic textures and rigid structures. He focuses on the relation between sound\, image\, light and space aiming to create highly immersive audiovisual universes. He holds a degree in media technology and experimental media and is currently studying Digital Arts at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. She is an Assistant Professor of immersive experience design at Arizona State University. Her artworks investigate A Speculative Assemblage at the intersection of immersive media design\, experimental data visualization\, and interactive AI art. Her works are featured in international awards\, museums\, and conferences. The first edition will bring us to the Zeiss Grand Planetarium\, one of the most modern science theaters in Europe. With a demonstrated history of working in the museums and science theaters industry\, Georgios has unparalleled experience in full dome video production\, planetarium technical support and audio engineering. Under his supervision\, the Zeiss Planetarium has now a 4k TouchDesigner media server\, that enables creators to edit and preview realtime animations directly on the dome\, a very rare feature that is nothing short of a game changer in the world of full dome experiences. He was one of the first Roundtable presenters and now he is back to talk about his recent full dome audio visual performance Reminiscent Delusions that was created in TouchDesigner and Unreal Engine. Its core proposition is accessibility through open-source and open-knowledge principles.
