SUMMARY:3D Listening Session : Discovery Zone
DESCRIPTION:Photo Credit: John Moods\n\n\n\nDISCOVERY ZONE : Library Copy – Do Not RemoveNovember\, 23rd 2024 | 5pm – 7pm (Tickets available)November\, 23rd 2024 | 7pm – 9pm (SOLD OUT)\n\n\n\nOur friends at Spatial Media Lab e.V. invite all lovers of spatial audio – and those curious to become one – to a unique listening session at its headquarters in Berlin-Weißensee. Attendees will experience “Library Copy – Do Not Remove” by Discovery Zone\, a 3D audio work that few people have encountered so far. The session will present the 7th order Ambisonic Masterfile\, post-produced specifically for this event after its original concert. It will be played on an 8.1.5 dome of Genelec speakers\, offering a fully immersive experience. This setup is not often heard\, making it a rare opportunity to be seized by purchasing a ticket.Due to the first time slot selling out so fast\, as second listening session has beenpublished and there are still tickets available for that one: \n\n\n\n\nGET YOUR TICKET HERE!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPhoto Credits: JJ Weihl\n\n\n\n“Library Copy – Do Not Remove” was initially conceived as a live spatial audio piece and was performed on June 27\, 2023\, as part of the “Live Radiant” series at the Zeiss-Großplanetarium in Berlin. Learn more about the project here. Both\, Discovery Zone\, an artist who explores themes such as simulation theory\, mythology\, and the holographic universe\, as well as Andrew Rahman\, who arranged and mixed the piece in 3D will be present at this exclusive session to discuss the creative process and answer audience questions. \n\n\n\nTo recreate the atmosphere of the planetarium premiere\, Cinema.AV has been invited to accompany Discovery Zone’s sounds with live video projections. He will perform a real-time set using his intricate video synthesizer setup. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you are interested to dive deeper into Spatial Audio\, you might be interested in this introductory course\, that we have designed in collaboration with Spatial Media Lab:https://thenodeinstitute.org/courses/ws24-tk-spatial-audio-an-open-source-workflow/ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpatial Media Lab\n\n\n\nMotorwerk Berlin\, Haus 407An der Industriebahn 1213088 BerlinPublic Transportation: PasedagplatzTRAM 12\, 27BUS 156\, 158\, N50\, X54

SUMMARY:TOUCHPY MASTERCLASS
DESCRIPTION:In addition to the official program of the TouchDesigner Event Berlin 2024\, Keith Lostracco and Idzard Kwadijk from IntentDev\, in cooperation with the Spatial Media Lab\, will host a free TouchPy Masterclass. Please RSVP below: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTouchPy is a cutting-edge Python library with a C++ core designed to enhance interactions between Python frameworks and TouchDesigner through Vulkan and CUDA. This tool facilitates direct GPU-to-GPU (zero-copy) data transfers\, optimizing the integration of AI technologies with TouchDesigner\, especially for frameworks like PyTorch and Nvidia Warp. TouchPy’s development responds to the challenges of swiftly incorporating complex Python-based AI into TouchDesigner. \n\n\n\nIn this masterclass\, Keith and Idzard will walk through installing and configuring TouchPy for a particular machine\, installing and importing Python packages that implement generative and inference models\, and integrating the packages with TouchDesigner. \n\n\n\n\n\nFor the TouchPy masterclass\, attendees should have a basic understanding of Python and TouchDesigner. Attendees will not need to bring a computer but have to RSVP. \n\n\n\n\nAfter the masterclass you are invited to stay at the Spatial Media Lab\, grab a drink and maybe even hold a presentation of your own. The stage will be open for everyone to present\, as several desks with screens invite to share knowledge in smaller groups. \n\n\n\nThe Space will be open until the late evening\, drinks are provided as are small snacks. \n\n\n\nDOWNLOAD:\n\n\n\nYou can download touchPy here:https://github.com/IntentDev/touchpy
