it is recommended you download the three folders above before the lesson and install the files as described below.

Laser CHOP

You have to install the new LaserCHOP as a separate plugin. The files are in the TDPlugins folder.

On Windows, copy the *.dll plugins from TDPlugins into
<Userdirectory>/Documents/Derivative/Plugins.

On Mac, open the DiskImage and copy the folder with the *.plugin files to
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Derivative/TouchDesigner099/Plugins.

Restart TouchDesigner and acknowledge that you want to load the plugins.
Use the LaserCHOP from the custom operator group tab.

LA.preview

Install LA.tools 2024 for the visualization program LA.preview:
https://laseranimation.com/downloads/

For visualization use the laserVisualize.tox component (from the TDModules folder) with the visualization plugin inside. Then plug the laserCHOP output into the laserVisualize component and you should see laser visualization in LA.preview.

You can use DspIn/IldaIn directly from the custom operators tab.

The other .tox files from the TDModules folder
can be dragged into TouchDesigner to use the components.
