On August 6th, 2025, join us in Berlin as participants from the international Creative Masterclasses present their immersive works at Studio1111. The evening features live VJ performances alongside a DJ Set by Kiti Arsa, and a special live collaboration between VJ Simon David Ryden and electronic music producer Anna Z.

SUMMER SEASON CLOSING – IMMERSIVE AV NIGHT

Our Creative Masterclasses bring together participants from around the world. Over the past six weeks, they have explored the creative possibilities of immersive environments through an intensive online program. Now, Alejandra Montoya, Helen Banner, Mark Wolcott and Odette Miller-Hard come together in Berlin to experience and perform their projects in the physical spaces they’ve previously only engaged with as digital simulations.

The group will showcase their site-specific live performances at Studio1111, working with real-time visuals tailored to the space. The presentation will lead into our Summer Season Closing Night, featuring VJ sets starting at 9 PM and a DJ set by Studio1111 resident DJ Kiti Arsa.

A Synesthetic Live Experience with Simon David Ryden & Anna Z

At the peak of the night, immerse yourself in a live collaboration where sound and vision intertwine in real time. VJ Simon David Ryden’s evolving visuals flow seamlessly with Anna Z’s live music, creating a vibrant, synesthetic landscape that unfolds spontaneously. Crafted especially for this evening, their performance invites you into a shared moment of creative improvisation and sensory exploration.

Simon David Ryden

Simon Rydén is a real-time generative artist specializing in TouchDesigner. His work explores immersive visual experiences, including visuals for Afterlife events, Robert Koch’s Future Sound performances, and the Blue Man Group’s New York show. Simon has also performed at the Labyrinth Dome in Bali, designed dome-specific VJ players used at performances in the SAT in Motreal, and exhibited at LOAD Gallery in Barcelona, and Studio 20 in Berlin, among other places. Under the alias supermarket_sallad on YouTube and Patreon, he shares his process with a global audience, providing insights into his creative process and the potential of real-time systems.

Anna Z

Berlin-based producer, DJ, and architecture student ANNA Z presents a live set that blends elements of Techno, Electro, and IDM. A member of Fjaak’s SPANDAU20 collective and co-founder of the WERK imprint and event series, she works at the intersection of club culture and visual experimentation. Her move into music production began when Instagram took down some of her visual work due to unlicensed audio—prompting her to start making her own tracks in Ableton. Since then, she has released on SPANDAU20, remixed Modeselektor, and steadily built a presence in Berlin’s electronic music community.

Studio 1111 Berlin is a hybrid venue that integrates immersion as a key element for a unique, art-centered clubbing experience in the heart of Berlin. The minimalist design of this space features a central bar surrounded by 270° floor-to-ceiling projections, inviting guests to enjoy a drink at the bar, dance on the floor, and, above all, connect with other art enthusiasts to forge meaningful relationships.
