Access to POP Operators

The POPs operator family is not in any public release yet.

To be able to work with the examples provided, you will need access to the POPs Alpha program. If you own a paid license (Educational, Commercial or Professional) which is active for updates, you can apply for Alpha access at licensing@derivative.ca

You will not be able to work with the examples in a free version of TouchDesigner.

The course is not depending on your ability to have access to the operators, but of course it is more fun!

Requirements

This module is made for participants, who have a basic understanding of TouchDesigner, but do not need any experience with shader languages. If you just getting started, please visit our Beginners Course first.

  • A recent PC or MAC Computer (discrete GPU recommended) with stable internet connection.
  • Access to the POPs Alpha program
  • 3-Button Mouse recommended

About the Instructor

Tim Gerritsen has been flipping bits ever since he was able to touch a keyboard. Starting on the Commodore 64 in the late 80s, his interest grew from computer security and webdevelopment to artificial intelligence and creative programming. As a creative coder, Tim helped realizing several installations for clients like Coca-Cola, Philips, T-mobile, Volvo and BMW. He’s the co-founder of the Dutch studio yfx lab and is mainly focussing on the development of TouchDesigner c++ plugins, GLSL shaders and system architecture.
Tim Gerritsen currently lives in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
