Sound Synthesis with SuperCollider
Recording of February 2026
1 lesson at 3 hours in English Language.
Recordings will be available for at least one year after purchase
Visual and auditory expression often evolve together, complementing one another to form a unified artistic language. This workshop introduces digital sound synthesis as an expressive medium for both musicians and visual artists. We will start from the fundamental building blocks of digital audio such as oscillators, envelopes and amplifiers and gradually move toward shaping textures, tones and rhythmic structures. Each concept will be introduced step-by-step with clear examples that participants can follow and modify in real time.
We will be working with SuperCollider, an open-source software environment that allows sound generation and algorithmic composition through code. SuperCollider is widely used in sound art, live coding performance, installation work and experimental music. Along the way, the workshop will also demonstrate how synthesized sound can interact with visual platforms such as VVVV or TouchDesigner, using MIDI and OSC communication to create synchronized and reactive audio-visual experiences.
This workshop encourages experimentation, playful engagement and curiosity. No previous programming background is required.
